The Garden Herbalist is a Herbal Medicine Clinic and Herbal Dispensary based at 32 Main Street, Milton of Balgonie KY76PX. The business is run as a limited company "The Fife Herbal Dispensary Ltd" Registered in Scotland under company number SC284939.
We are committed to protecting the visitors to our website and our clinic and maintaining trust and confidence with our client base.
We are not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and organisations for marketing gain.

We use GoDaddy to process and deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics which inform us if an email has been opened and to give us data as to what info information is popular using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

We use Square as a payment provider for electronic payments either in person in clinic or via invoice when you order repeat prescriptions for either collection or postage.
To keep customers’ data safe from hackers, credit and debit card issuers require UK businesses to follow a series of security guidelines called PCI compliance. Square products are fully compliant.
To protect Square account holders and their customers, all information submitted is encrypted to their servers, regardless of whether you’re using a public or private Wi-Fi connection or a data service on your phone (such as 3G or 4G). Clinic Data Storage: Herbal Medicine Clinic
During your consultation your practitioner will take notes to record your case history, treatments plans and herbal prescriptions. Your records are held securely on our premises within locked filing cabinets and we do not store any of your medical data electronically.
Medical Herbalists are obliged to store medical records for a minimum period of seven years after which time they are securely destroyed.
Our dispensary and reception staff have access to the front page of your notes and your prescription cards, but do not access the personal data within your records.
Any repeat prescription forms which contain your personal contact details are shredded securely on the premises.
We do not share your information with anybody else and do not automatically add you onto mailing lists. Should you wish to go on a mailing list to receive newsletters you can sign up on our website.
Should you wish to access your records we can provide you with a copy of the notes taken during your consultations if you request this in writing from us. We will provide this to you within 30 days of receiving any request.
Once you are registered with our clinic, we will use your email address and/or telephone number to send you reminders about appointments and update you about clinic services.
As well as being able to speak to us in person via our landline you will also be able to communicate with us via WhatsApp/Text/Messenger and Email.
We do not share any of our communications with any third parties and we operate in the strictest of confidence.
Clinic Data Storage- Food Sensitivity Testing
We will hold your food test results in hard copy paper format for a minimum of 1 year after which time they will be securely shredded. If you consult our Medical Herbalists they may access your results to support your clinical treatment. We will not share your information with any third party.
Your results will be emailed to you as a word document and will also be stored on our cloud storage. No identifying data except your name is held on these electronic records.
Access to your data
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold.
